So apparently I’m the only one who thought iPad was a bigger iPhone. It’s actually a bigger iPod Touch.
Why was that so hard to figure out? Is that kind of confusion good marketing? Are we supposed to just want one automatically because Apple makes it? (We do, of course, but still…)
So now we know that it is a sort of home appliance, maybe sort of the notebook computer that Steve Jobs originally envisioned 20+ years ago. OK. Cool.
But it still requires a subscription for wireless service to use, doesn’t it? So does that mean we need to pay AT&T twice as much if we also have an iPhone?
Maybe this will all be cleared up when the iPad starts appearing in stores, but right now, to me, the concept is still fuzzy.
Am I really supposed to not only buy this new toy but also pay an extra 100 bucks a month to be able to play with it? That’s kind of steep.
