My friend has the iPhone 4 and when I call her from FaceTime it says she’s unavailable. Then when I save my email on her phone (I have IPod touch) it dsnt say FaceTime on bottom. And she doesn’t have the FaceTime app on her phone. How can she download the app? Or does she have to go to the apple store.??

This is a lengthy article by iLounge, but it should help you if you have the time to follow it’s instructions. It’s difficult to diagnose the issue without being able to see setting, etc:

If all else fails, call Apple support at 1-800-APL-CARE
Note:
Alex is wrong. You cannot install firmware for a wrong model. It’s not possible. What is possible however, is that she is not on FW 4.1 or later. Make sure her phone is fully updated.

Hi, The iPhone 4 does not have the actual FaceTime app as you have a phone option so FaceTime in located within your contacts. Go to your contacts, then choose the person you want to FaceTime(make sure you both have a WiFi connection) then just press the FaceTime button which is located to the right of the message button ♥
