Will Skype Make An App For The iPhone 4 That Does Video Chat For People With A Webcam?
I have friends that live in different States, and I’m pretty certain not many of them are going to get the iPhone 4, making Facetime practically useless for me.
So I was wondering if Skype will make it possible to talk face to face with someone using a webcam with Skype and not Facetime?
I know has Skype has an app, I have that app. But I could really care less for Facetime, I want to chat with people through my iPhone with people who have a webcam.

Help with Facetime for iPhone 4!?
I got the new iPhone 4 for christmas and i can’t get the Facetime working.
When i go to my contacts the Facetime button is underneath but when i press it my phone tries to connect to a wifi rather than regular mobile internet.
Loads of my friends have Facetime on their iPods but i just can’t get mine working.
Do i need email addresses?
A seperate app?
Please help!

Facetime only works when your device is connected to wifi. Try connecting to wifi – then hit face time again.
If that doesn’t work connect to wifi – open safari – in the address bar type facetime://phonenumber – hit return.
If that fails there is an app called tango. This will let you face time when not on wifi (over 3G).
The new ipod use email to facetime, the iPhone uses your phone number.

I understand the whole, “just go to your contacts and press the button ‘facetime,’ and you’re all good to go.” but what if the other person doesn’t have an iPhone 4??

Go to your contacts, and enter the person’s e-mail that they use for FaceTime. Then, go to FaceTime, select the person you want to call, and when it asks you which contact info you want to use, select the person’s e-mail. Call them and you should have no problems.
You can’t just enter an e-mail address or phone number. You have to add the person as a contact.
