How early should I get in line at the Apple store to buy the Ipad 2 when it’s released on Friday at 5pm?
How early should I get in line at the Apple store to buy the Ipad 2 when it’s released on Friday at 5pm??? I don’t want to risk getting one in stock. I also don’t want to be at the back of a huge line. Did anyone go to the store to buy the Ipad 1? If so, how early?

My son wants an iPad 2 for his birthday coming up and want to surprise him with it but I dont know when to show up at the Apple Store this Friday (March 11) because they start selling it at 5pm so should I get their are 3pm? 4pm? Thanks

I’m guessing the Apple Store will have more iPads in supply compared to last year when they sold out quickly. However, it looks like the White iPad 2 Versions in my guess, will be the first ones to sell out quickly!!!
Getting there between 3pm or 4pm, would be kinda late, you’d be waiting in line for a really long time just to get into the Apple Store even after the 5pm launch time… Taking last year for example, I actually called in Sick and went to the Apple @ 6am, waited in line for 11 hours… It was worth it!!!

What makes the iPad 2 better than the iPad 1 ?
Can you place orders for things on the iPad 2 and print stuff off the device? Just like a normal computer now?

You could always order stuff because both iPads have the Safari web browser. And both can print the same way (though not like a regular computer), if you have the latest update installed on the iPad 1.
The main differences in the iPad 2: Faster, thinner, lighter, has front and back cameras.
