Your Questions About Iphone Cameras

Sharon asks…

How is a good $700 HD Camcorder better than the iPhone 4 Camera?

Obviously a higher quality camera is going to produce a much better picture quality than the iPhone 4′s camera (or any of the pocket cameras that shoot HD video). But looking at the statistics, they both claim to shoot “1080 dpi” video and 30 frames for seconds. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Accessories, Micjacks, and Filters aside, what else determines the video quality?

iphone answers:

Well the optics are the major difference. The IPhone 4 is great, it does so many things. Even the picture quality is amazing for the size and amount the phone has in it. But Its quality is nothing compared to an actual professional camcorder. They do produce the same resolution, but not the same footage. Not dogging the IPhone cause they rock, but you want a real camcorder if you gonna be using it for actual production.
Check these ones out they are great for a cheap deal:

Good luck hope I helped.

Thomas asks…

What is the focal length of the iPhone camera?

More importantly, what is the equivalent focal length relative to a 35mm film camera?

I have an iPhone 3G. Is the camera focal length different for the newer iPhones?

iphone answers:

I see.But it is around 40mm i guess. Not wide enough to take group pictures. Also I phones are not good for taking pictures..Get a Lumix phone for that.

Nancy asks…

How to transfer photos from my iphone camera roll to iphoto on my mac?

I have lots of photos taken on my iphone in my camera roll and i would like to have them on my mac? How can i do this? I dont mind any way of doing this either using iphoto or anything else? Thanks

iphone answers:

It should be a lot simpler than the methods people listed above.

Just connect your iOS device (iPhone included) to your computer through a the provided USB cable, open up iPhoto (should open automatically actually), and you’ll see your device listed. Pick the photos you want to import and click Import Selected and voila, you’ve got your photos in your library.
