VERIZON IPHONE 4 QUESTIONS!?

1.) I’m using my dad’s upgrade (he’s the account holder) to preorder the verizon iphone 4 online on feb 3rd. Will we be able to transfer his upgrade to my line over the computer? Or is that something you can only do in store?
2.) Anyone know what information I’ll need at hand to preorder online?

But since the 2 year contract is up, im starting a new 2 year contract with verizon for the iphone. so ill get the $199 new 2 year contract price. I guess I meant my contract was up – not that I have an upgrade.

iphone answers:

You will need to activate the phone on his line and accept the new two year contract. Once that is completed you can switch the iphone to your number if you’d like, but your dad’s contract will still remain with the new two years. Your line will remain unaffected but with your new iphone.

My verizon contract ends in july of 2012. Can I preorder the new iphone on feb 3rd without paying anything ext?

iphone answers:

Unless you’re eligible to receive your 2-yr upgrade, then you’ll have to pay the full price for the Verizon iPhone. But you can usually pay an upcharge (depends on the months left until your eligibility) and pay the difference, plus the 2-yr agreement.
So, say you want the 16GB IPhone ($199.99 w/ 2-yr agreement) and you have 3 months until your new upgrade is available then you pay ‘X’ amount to pay the lower cost for the phone ($199.99 instead of $499 or so).
