Will AT&T lower it’s iPhone price if verizon becomes a carrier of the iPhone?
They already cut the 3GS price in 1/2. And if At&t does lower their price, when can we expect them to lower it? Immediately the day of or the day after the Verizon press conference?

The iPhone is unlike other phones because the carrier does not have the control. Apple very tightly controls both the distribution and the pricing of the iPhone, and they do not allow AT&T (or Best Buy or Radio Shack or anybody else) engage in discounting outside of their own schedule. The only iPhone you will ever see priced below $200 is an older model or a refurbed unit.

trying to upgrade to iPhone on Verizon at discounted price?
I am not eligible to upgrade at the discounted price, but another line on my account is. Is it possible to buy the iPhone for the discounted price and switch it to my line?

Probably… THAT line’s contract will be extended by 2 years… And it’ll depend on whether you have a data pak on your primary line right now. You really need to talk to Verizon to be sure.

im getting an iphone.
dad said hes getting it when the iphone comes out for verizon and we’ll get whichevers cheaper cause that verizon and att/apple will have a competition for the prices or whatever.
will it be the same price? or is my dad right?

1st off there is no guarantee that Verizon is getting an iPhone. It is just rumors at this point. Secondly any competing prices will have to be done by Verizon & AT&T themselves since Apple would keep the current $199, $299 price points & then it would be up to them to lower them further to compete.
